The Arbors will have a Little Free Library soon! Thanks to the efforts of our newly revived Social Committee, led by Chairwomen Michele Locke, the library will be placed near the gazebo on Mammoth Drive. The library was donated by Michele and several residents have donated to the purchase. Little Free Libraries are a global phenomenon. The small, book exchanges number 60,000 around the world in 80 countries — from Iceland to Tasmania to Pakistan. Now, The Arbors' Little Free Library will join the movement to share books, bring people together and create communities of readers.
“It’s our hope that this Little Free Library will bring a little more joy, a little more connection and a whole lot more books to The Arbors,” writes Michele. Just take a book to read, leave a book, return a book. These are for all residents to enjoy. Stay tuned for more information about the placement and ribbon-cutting ceremony for our Little Free Library.
